BATTALION LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE

Welcome to the Battalion Leadership Committee! This group is dedicated to the development of personal and peer leadership standards of Benedictine Baseball. Battalion leaders are encouraged to become servant leaders who shall represent Benedictine College, the baseball program, the community and our friends and families who support us through all of our endeavors!

How do I become a Battalion Leader?

  1. Complete the application (attached)
  2. Interview with the coaching staff (On Campus, Interview Attire)
  3. Interview amongst teammates (On Campus, Interview Attire)
  4. Honorary process

What are the responsibilities of a Battalion Leader?

  1. Lead Small Battalion of current baseball players through daily life challenges
  2. Learn leadership tools and resources
  3. Meet with Battalion Leadership
  4. Meet with Coaching Staff on a regular basis to discus leadership values, tools and resources
  5. Build and cultivate leadership roles through the campus community
  6. Be a servant leader to our community
  7. Connect with Alumni, boosters, families and friends
  8. Contribute to the daily and future operation of the program
  9. Help set program goals and expectations
  10. Provide a resource for teammates to be able to connect with outside of baseball.

Benefits of being a Battalion Leader

  1. Creates an opportunity to develop as a person
  2. Provides an avenue to develop leadership skills
  3. Increases problem solving skill sets
  4. Learn to ways to become bigger than oneself
  5. Foundation to become a leader of a small group
